Achievements to date
I am 16 years old and have been competing in athletics for four years now. I have ranked first in the country in my age group for discus for three years consecutively and have represented the nation at international athletics meetings, most recently winning the SIAB schools international in Discus.
My first introduction to athletics, in particular throwing events, was in primary school. I have always been fairly strong and in primary school I won first place in my schools hammer throw competition but I did not really think much of it. It was only when I entered secondary school that I realised I could throw. My school’s Head of Sport encouraged me to join a local club and I haven’t looked back since.
Winning the SIAB home international
Losing the 2019 English schools as I went being the favourite to win
