My name is Ryan Holden, I am 17 years old. I have recently started my level 2 diploma in plumbing at East Kent College. I started Archery five years ago and only started competing three years ago. In that time I have achieved a national record and over 40 county records, also I have shot for England four times and Kent four times, once as a senior. I am training five or six times a week and I am currently in the Archery GB Talent Development Programme. I have won a haul of medals and trophies.
Shooting for England in the Junior Commonwealth Championships for Europe in Llanharran, Wales. In this event, I won the individual event on all three rounds and as a team England came first overall and first in the mixed recurve team. At this event I scored the highest overall recurve score, for which I was awarded the memorial trophy which has great importance to this event. I gained my scores for the 2015 GB Team selection shoot during this event and this is why this is my most memorable sporting achievement.
