Achievements to date

  • 2013 - Named LTA Kent Club of the Year
  • 1977 - Bethersden Tennis Club established

Hello, our names are James Carlton and Daniel Shearing, and we are tennis coaches at Bethersden Tennis Club in Kent. We are both working towards and completing our Level 3 tennis coaching qualification. We have been helping in and around the club for a number of years and enjoy coaching all ages and abilities. As well as organising and running after school and weekend sessions, we also go into Primary Schools during daytime to deliver curriculum PE tennis lessons. A highlight of being a tennis coach at Bethersden Tennis Club is the high amount of juniors we have playing during the week and entering local matchplays and tournaments. We value the importance of sportsmanship and fair play in our lessons and are proud to see it being replicated in competitive situations.
