Achievements to date
I am 19 with the aim of achieving a degree in Human Biology. I started athletics at an older age than most, roughly 15 – 16, where as most of my friends started at a much younger age. I originally started athletics as a hobby because it allowed me to relax, have fun and exercise all in one.
When I started I began training twice a week at Medway Park with Medway and Maidstone AC. It was last year I decided that I wanted athletics to be more than just a hobby to me, the main two influences for this decision was my first invitation to British Championships and English schools both held in Birmingham in 2018. Travelling to Birmingham and appearing at these high standard events showed me how exciting it is to run within a top bracket.
My other influence has to be my coach Steven Munday ever since I joined his training group he has helped me improve tremendously and shown me what I can achieve if I work hard and put my mind to it.
Earning my first individual Gold medal at county level and the first time I ran under 11 seconds for the 100m
Getting disqualified at National indoor championships held in Sheffield 2018
Wayde Van Niekerk 200m and 400m
Talk with my coach to calm my nerves and remind myself to enjoy it no matter the outcome
